Our primary aim is to educate and increase awareness of Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island on the BC campus.
Our primary aim is to advance Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island's commitment to grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We hope to empower students to become actively involved in the granting of wishes through participation in events at BC and in the Boston area. Through service and fundraising initiatives, our goal is to raise approximately $7500 each year, the average cost of a child's wish. Members would have the opportunity to interact with wish kids through the events at BC and elsewhere and receive training to become Wish Volunteers for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation. The group will aim to increase general awareness within the BC community of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, informing students, faculty, and employees not only of wish-granting processes and requirements, but also what the experience is like for both the recipients of a wish as well as their families and friends.
