The Harvard College eSports Association has three main goals: Socialize, Compete, and Outreach.

We want to create an environment for gamers on campus to be able to get together and play together in a centralized way.
This includes having LAN parties, viewing events, and overall, a place for people to meet others who share similar interests and passions in gaming. We also want to gather these players together to compete in intra- and inter-collegiate tournaments such as the Collegiate Star League (CSL) and the AVGL (American Video Game League).
Lastly, we want to promote and raise awareness of the growing eSports phenomenon by inviting professional gamers and industry leaders to come to our campus and talk about what it's like to be a part of the eSports industry and how their career choice has affected their lives. We have had people like these come give a talk on things varying from game design to what it's like to work for a major gaming company, internship opportunities, and first-hand professional gaming experience.
We want people to realize the legitimacy of competitive gaming, its place in our culture, and the eSports scene's approachability and viability as a career option.
