Harvard Hillel affiliate, integrating Jewishness and social justice activism!
We believe in women's, LGBT, and workers' rights; environmental sustainability; democratic social change and activism; rights of Israelis and Palestinians; a negotiated two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; and alternative forms of Jewish expression.
Our Judaism gives us a shared history, culture, language, and religion which we relate to in many different ways. Secular and religious, observant and not so much, we feel some connection to Jewishness. The Progressive Jewish Alliance is both a Hillel-affiliated group and a recognized Harvard College student group.
We are committed to supporting progressive movements on campus, in our country, in Israel, and around the world. We often work with other campus groups to cosponsor events and work on shared causes.
We are open to all religions, races, ethnicities, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, sleep schedules, and chocolate preferences (or lack thereof). We meet on Thursdays at 7pm in Hillel's Rabb Hall - come join us!
