The Simmons College Islamic Society (formerly the Muslim Students Association) is a student organization which focuses on establishing a comfortable environment for the Muslim community within the institution. We not only work to meet the needs, both social and religious of our fellow sisters, but also work towards meeting the needs of our religious and non-religious communities at large. We are passionate about serving community, proud of our religious heritage, and welcoming to all.
SIS is a diverse group of Muslim women: self-directed, inclusive, and regular contributors to the discourse of what makes Simmons great. Programs are designed to support personal faith and understanding, and to raise awareness of Islam on campus. SIS collaborates with other student organizations through cultural, charitable, and interfaith activities. We are open to new members and new ways to achieve balance in college/spiritual life.
