Entering its 14th year, SPA's overarching goal is to represent UEP students to the UEP faculty, the Tufts community, and professional planning and policymaking networks. In the past, SPA has hosted events to help students connect with UEP alumni and with other graduate students. SPA also plans and coordinates social events such as Thirsty Thursdays and our fall trip to the Loj, as well as educational and professional development opportunities such as the student UEP Colloquium.
Meetings are held monthly on Wednesday at noon, and lunch is provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
Goals and responsibilities include:
Student Life
--Organizing social, professional development, and academic-related events
--Informing students of department and university-wide events
--Creating a forum for communication among students
Faculty Liaisons
--Communicate with faculty about student affairs
--Organize and assist with department activities, such as UEP Info Sessions and personal meetings for prospective students, Admitted Students Day, First-Year Orientation, and conferences.
Alumni Liaisons
--Host events that bring alumni to campus and/or allow for student-alumni interaction.
