Joya Dass, a business news anchor for NY1 news and host of AVS, created a documentary about curable blindness in Tamil Nadu, India called First Sight. She is an amazing human being who used her skills as a TV anchor to bring awareness to such an important issue that many had not even heard of. We are so pleased to have her come to Boston College and you won't want to miss this chance to hear her speak and to learn about cultural appropriation.
